Epstein provided design and engineering services to Sensient Technologies for a complete $13 million renovation and existing 66,250 square foot food tasting lab and office building. The original building was also designed by Epstein in 1995 for a company called Quest International.

Epstein's services for Sensients renovation included architectural and interior design of the lab and office areas, as well as partnering with Steve Rosenstein Associates for lab casework design and coordination. Epstein also worked on schematic MEP design and reviewed submittals for the design/build project with Pepper Construction.

Sensient Technologies Corporation is a leading global manufacturer and marketer of colors, flavors and fragrances, employing advanced technologies to develop specialty food and beverage systems, cosmetic and pharmaceutical systems, inkjet and specialty inks and colors, and other specialty and fine chemicals.

The renovated facility provides laboratory space as well as unique flavor suites for Sensient’s beverage, culinary, dairy, and savory divisions, and a pilot plant to mimic large scale production operations.

To further supplement this state-of-the-art food science laboratory the space has extensive analytical laboratories for Sensient’s researchers and a showpiece culinary demonstration room which utilizes specialty curved glass and high-end finishes and is used to demonstrate, in a modern, yet intimate setting, Sensient’s advancements to its clients.
