Epstein has been a proud supporter of ACE Mentor Chicago since 2015, mentoring approximately 30 students each year. In addition to our mentoring role, in partnership with Foster + Partners, as part of our O’Hare Global Terminal design team, we were able to provide $50,000 in ACE alumni scholarships the past two years. In addition, the Epstein Community Foundation has sponsored $38,000 in scholarships since 2016 and in 2022, we plan to give another $7,500.
Judy Torres, one of Epstein’s mentors, hopes to provide opportunities for students looking for a path in engineering. “I was a first generation student and had questions about going to college, choosing architectural engineering as a major, and finding employment after graduating,” she said. “This is my way of giving back and creating a pipeline for other students that may face the same concerns I had.”
