Epstein is currently serving as the prime consultant in the preparation of the City of Syracuse's Strategic Investment Plan. As part of the New York State Downtown Revitalization Initiative, the City of Syracuse was awarded $10M in funding to revitalize the Southwest Gateway. Epstein is leading a team of planners, architects, and engineers in developing a revitalization initiative of transformative projects, including mixed-use developments, façade enhancements, and streetscape projects to create a vibrant, walkable district adjacent to downtown. Anchored by recent developments and the Salt City Market, Epstein is guiding the development of this plan at the direction of the City’s Local Planning Committee (LPC), consisting of community leaders, housing specialists, and the New York Department of State. The scope of work includes conceptual design, visualization, cost estimating, stakeholder engagement.
