Welcome to Epstein … Evan Katz!

Our newest mechanical design engineer/fantasy sports playing/musician/globetrotting concert goer

We are pleased to welcome Evan Katz to Epstein – our new mechanical design engineer in our MEP/FP Engineering group.

Evan joins us after recently receiving his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa (Go Hawkeyes!). He was born in Deerfield, Illinois, attended Deerfield High School where he played volleyball and still resides in this north suburban Chicago suburb.

Evan’s hobbies include watching, playing, and doing fantasy sports. He also likes playing music and, having studied piano when he was a child, still likes to noodle around and "make up stuff." (Evan – sounds like Jazz to us!)

In addition, some of Evan’s favorite non-work activities including camping, rock climbing, eating, playing video games, playing volleyball and golf, and going to concerts. For instance, he recently attended a Sufjan Stevens concert in Chicago (Evan – hopefully he played ‘Chicago as well - one of our personal favorites!) and a GoGo Penguin concert in France.

Evan’s first assignments at Epstein include the third and final phase of the Whirlpool Riverview Campus, a 250,000 sf office development in Benton Harbor, Michigan, as well as a master planning assignment for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service in Gruenstadt, Germany.

Once again welcome to the family Evan – and please let us know the next cool concert we need to check out – preferably in France as well!
