Overview

Epstein was the design architect for this 14-story, 24,000 square meter high-rise office building in Warsaw, Poland.

Chmielna 89 was developed by Cavatina Holding and is located within the Warsaw Central Business District on a site with many legal restrictions. Overcoming those regulations was a challenge for our designers and the end result was the unique triangle shape of Chmielna, which was defined by a condition of having a zero-shading-impact on neighboring residential buildings.

Chmielna 89's structure is cut at a dramatic angle on the northern side resulting from an impact analysis on the solar access of the neighboring residential buildings and features a transparent façade comprised of steel, aluminum and large glass panels. It also provides 122 parking spaces located within the building’s two-story underground parking garage.
