World Architecture Day was created by the Union of International Architects (UIA) in 1985 and is celebrated annually on the first Monday of October in parallel with the United Nations’ (UN) World Habitat Day.

The UIA Council chose the theme “Architecture for Resilient Communities” for this year’s World Architecture Day. Within this theme, the UIA seeks to place particular emphasis on the capacity and responsibility of architecture to create viable community life and open an international discussion on the relationship between urban and rural areas in all countries.

Here at Epstein, our designers consider our clients' future growth. By maintaining a leading edge in both products and technology, we offer the most in creative, green and economical design solutions. From offices, laboratories and cultural institutions, Epstein's award-winning architectural achievements are found in diverse, global industries. These achievements benefit the communities we work in by providing more green space to encourage movement, promoting good health and mitigating environmental impacts through sustainable design.

“Architecture requires us to be inquisitive and resourceful so that our design solutions can meet the social, environmental, functional and economic expectations of our clients.” - Patrick Carata, architectural design director

Markets across the world were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, altering the ways we work and the spaces we occupy. Our design experts rigorously examine the operational and philosophical needs of our clients to produce sustainable designs that enhance the comfort, well-being, productivity and aesthetics of the space. Whether that's to ensure a proper transition in a post-COVID-19 world, Epstein's architects, engineers and designers generated design guidelines to provide clients with new secure and efficient resources. Finding a balance between optimizing operations and keeping people safe, the strategies tackle the built environment that surrounds us, from restaurants and outdoor dining, to streets, offices and retail.
