We are pleased to welcome David Tichy, AIA, CDT, our new Senior Project Architect, to Epstein’s Architecture group. Throughout his career thus far, Dave has worked for Milhouse Engineering, Ghafari Associates as well as Teng & Associates. For these companies, Dave worked in various commercial market sectors, including healthcare, hospitality/restaurant, historic restoration, high-rise, aviation, transportation, logistics, industrial manufacturing and industrial food manufacturing. Furthermore, Dave has worked on projects from Denver all the way to the Middle East, including long stays in the KSA, UAE, Qatar and Turkey.

Dave grew up in New Jersey, right outside of New York. He could even see the Empire State Building and George Washington Bridge from his front yard! Interesting anecdote: He witnessed the World Trade Center being constructed. Later, Dave’s family moved to Ohio and then eventually Illinois. Dave attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, receiving his BS in architecture. He was able to study abroad his senior year in Versailles.

Dave has lived in Chicago for more than 30 years now. He is a Cubs fan, and once lived 630 feet down the right field line. He still remains involved in UIUC, and is an I Fund member and season ticket holder for Illini football.

Some quick hits about Dave: He is enthusiastic about fountain pens, photography and automatic watches. He misses manual drafting. Drop by his desk sometime and ask to see his travels sketchbook!

Once again, welcome to Epstein, Dave! We’re delighted to have you join us.
