We are delighted to welcome Alex Vera, our new Senior Design Engineer, to Epsteins MEP group! Prior to joining us, Alex worked at 20/10 Engineering Group in Schaumburg as an HVAC engineer.

He attended College of DuPage for two years before transferring to the University of Illinois at Chicago (go Flames!) for another two years. While there, Alex tutored for a bit for the Carol Roberson center. However, most of his time was spent raising his kids. His triplets were born while he was at UIC - two boys and a girl. He also has an 11-month-old boy!

Alex was actually in the culinary staffing field until 2008. The downturn made him reconsider going back to school. He picked engineering (he likes math), and the director of engineering at CoD helped guide him toward mechanical engineering specifically. HVAC was the first job he got after UIC and he still enjoys it.

He grew up almost exclusively in the Downers Grove area and went to Downers Grove South High School, where he met his wife.

Outside of work, Alex is almost always in dad mode. He draws and paints with his daughter and plays video games with the older boys while watching his toddler. He also loves movies; opening night with a nice crowd, big screen, loud speakers sign him up.

What should his Epstein family know about him? My teammates should know that I am here to help Epstein grow. The better I do, the more I do, the more I hope Epstein can grow for everyones benefit.

Sounds good to us.

Once again, welcome to Epstein, Alex!
