Today, December 3rd, Epstein was presented the Best Manufacturing Project in the Midwest Region by ENR (Engineering News-Record) for our design and construction of the Prestage Foods of Iowa Pork Processing Plant in Eagle Grove, Iowa. The ceremony, which was held in the main ballroom of Chicago Renaissance Downtwon Hotel, featured awards being presented in a number of market categories.
Receiving the Best Manufacturing Project award on Epsteins behalf was Nick Hawkins, our DesignBuild Project Executive for Prestage. In addition, members of our Prestage team, including Debbie Sretenovic, Jon Scales, John Lach, Stu White, Darrin McCormies, Dave Hilty & Tom Smiles, joined Nick on-stage to be honored by attendees representing design, engineering, construction firms from across the region.
Prestage was selected by ENR for a variety of design and engineering innovations including the sophisticated use of automation/robotics and environmentally sensitive solutions to mitigate waste and odors. Additionally, our construction team was acknowledge for overcoming difficult site issues like bedrock as well as weather related delays to deliver this facility on-time.
