Several of Epsteiners will not only be attending this week’s Illinois Bike Summit, but presenting and moderating sessions as well, covering relevant topics. The Summit takes place on October 12-13 in Champaign, Illinois and is the state’s most important bicycle-related conference. Professionals and advocates from communities of all sizes attend to learn, network and collaborate.
Tim Gustafson, Senior Planner, will be presenting on Advances in Bikeway Design, focusing on recent projects that have incorporated innovative designs and coordination across multiple agencies/jurisdictions. Tim will also be co-teaching the event’s professional training session for planners, engineers, and municipal staff who aim to improve bike infrastructure and safety in their community. Ryan Peterson, Planner, will be moderating the Advances in Bikeway Design, Advocacy 101 and ITEP Funding: Your Voice Matters sessions. Along with Tim and Ryan, Athena Erbs, Senior Civil Design Engineer, will also be in attendance.
