In a new effort to share each others hidden talents and spend time together, we were excited to hold the second session of Epstein's Master Class initiative. During this stay-at-home time, we will get the chance to see just how talented some of our staff is!

Next up was our champion baker from the Civil department, Hannah Perl, one of our design engineers. Hannah graciously offered to showcase how to make her version of the perfect chocolate chip cookie. And, given the accolades her apple pie received during a company-wide bake-off, we were eager.

For those that may have missed Hannah's class (or for those who would like to make a second batch) please find the recipe below:

Ingredients for Hannahs Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 ¾ cups (8 ¾ oz.) unbleached all-purpose flour

½ t. baking soda

14 T butter, divided (10T & 4T)

½ cup sugar

¾ cup dark brown sugar

1 t. salt

2 t. vanilla

1 egg

1 yolk

1 ¼ cup chocolate chips or chunks

¾ cup chopped pecans, toasted (optional)

We recommend a tall glass of milk with those. Enjoy!
