The Epstein Community Foundation (ECF) this past Thursday, May 30th, teamed up with Ronald McDonald House Charities to participate in their Meals from the Heart program, which allows volunteers to come together to build a menu, purchase ingredients and prepare warm meals for families staying at one of their Houses who have children in a local hospital.

The ECF was pleased to prepare meals for families who have children at Lurie Childrens Hospital. Meals from the Heart aims to allow families to dine and unwind so they can be refreshed for their child, without the worry or time to prepare a meal for themselves.

A huge thank you to all who volunteered and for their hard work a group that included Samantha Schneider, Jim Jirsa, Rufus Pulphus, Hisham Odish, Tim Gall, Jeffrey McQuiston, Criss Paccione-Anderson, Ed Curley, Tom and Barb Smiles, Monika Ciesielska, Sasan Naghieh, Christina Stoczynski, Kelsey Wuthrich, Alexus Davis and a special shout out to Brian Foss and Carmen Brown for creating the wonderful menu.

The ECF, founded in 2008, is devoted to empowering people to improve their lives through a commitment to developing partnerships with communities in need. Over the years, the ECF has been involved in numerous charitable partnerships and collaborations with organizations to construct safe environments and mentor communities. This is achieved through volunteering time, sharing expertise, and contributing financially to help build a brighter future.
