As cannabis dispensaries open their doors to the people of Chicago, many questions surrounding the commercial real estate industry still remain. As a result, BISNOW is hosting the Chicago Cannabis Event, which is a panel-based event that takes focus on the design standpoint of dispensaries and how to maximize the in-store experience for customers.
Epstein's Mica Manaois, Director of Interior Projects, is serving as the only design professional on the panel, which includes representatives in the financing, development and construction of cannabis dispensaries. For the past year, Mica has been leading Epstein's interiors team on a series of test fits as well as planning and design projects for clients in the dispensary market.
During the event, which takes place on Thursday, Feb. 6 at the Radison Blu Aqua, Mica will be speaking about how design can impact in-store experience and help ease the stigma for customers.
The laws around growing cannabis and the equipment being used are some of the additional topics the panel will dive into.
