Epstein is providing civil engineering services to assist the DuPage Department of Transportation to develop the DuPage Trails Plan. The plan is intended to be both a planning document and a management framework, and replaces the 2003 Trails Maintenance Policy. That document created a framework for maintaining DuPage County's regional trails focused on public engagement, path maintenance and user accommodation in a way that maximized the County’s relationships with its neighbor communities.
Now, a draft of the Plan is ready for feedback! It's been shaped by over 3,000 survey responses received throughout the process and covers topics such as trail crossings, signage and wayfinding, trail user experience, and more.
