May 16, 2023

Epstein and its DE&I Committee recognize May 17 as the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOTB), a worldwide celebration to honor the inclusion of diverse gender identities. May 17 was selected as a way to commemorate the same date in 1990, when homosexuality was removed from the International Classification of Diseases by the World Health Organization.

2023's theme is "Together always: United in diversity"

Removal of this designation and the declassification of homosexuality as a mental disorder were a significant steps in acknowledging the humanity and diversity of sexual orientation as a valid part of one’s identity. Since its inception in 2004, the spirit of the IDAHOTB has expanded to increase awareness regarding biphobia and transphobia, seeking to eliminate bias and discrimination towards individuals who identify as transgender or bisexual.

Epstein celebrates our employees, clients and partners inclusive of who they are and how they love.
