Epstein’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) group held its final virtual seminar for 2021, a workshop led by executive coach and trainer, Jill Bremer, AICI CIP, on civility in the workplace.

In this seminar, Epstein’s domestic based staff learned about etiquette and civility, the consequences of workplace incivility and how the three forms of responsibility (professional, personal, and social) are the hallmarks of civility in the office. In addition, attendees also learned about effective listening strategies, conflict management skills and coping strategies that can help maintain positivity and mental clarity in the workplace.

We were also given a number of insights into how incivility can adversely impact the workplace by hurting morale, reducing commitment to the organization and leading staff to quit organizations.

Furthermore, the seminar allowed Epstein’s staff the ability to interact with Jill by asking questions and participating in the presentation through a number of chat prompts.
