The 2023 Bike Commuter Challenge has come to an end, and it’s time to celebrate Epstein's achievements! Epstein’s team has logged a total of 1,651 miles and earned 2,418 points, placing 30th overall out of a field of 209 teams, and even more impressively, ranking 10th among 34 organizations in our size class (100 to 499 employees). While zipping by our car-bound colleagues caught in rush-hour traffic, our team saved over 1,600 pounds of CO2 exhaust and burned 80,198 calories – that’s 213 Grande Caramel Frappucinos!

Four of our riders rode more than 100 miles each during the four weeks, and deserve special congratulations: Jeff McQuiston recorded 143 miles, Ephraim Dissen rode 200.6 and Chad Ware ended the challenge with 201.1 miles.

The Challenge was a way to encourage commuters to look at biking as a great option to and from work. And even though the event is over, it’s not too late to start riding now! The benefits are many: a low impact form of cardio exercise, reducing your carbon footprint and an opportunity to enjoy the summer weather. Congratulations to all, and we can't wait for next year!

Thank you to Simon Cygielski for managing this year's team.
