Team Epstein recently completed the 2020 Bike to Work Challenge, a two-week biking competition where Chicagoland organizations compete to see who can earn the most points by riding their bike.
Taking place from July 6-19, this year's focus was on riding, whether that be commuting, running errands, or just going for a joy ride. Any ride counted. The challenge, hosted by the Active Transportation Alliance, was presented this year by Keating Law Offices.
Team Epstein biked a total of 1,244 miles during the two week challenge! To give you an idea, that’s two whole round trips from Chicago to St. Louis plus a little change, or the equivalent of saving 1,270 lbs of CO2 from emissions. Our team made a total of 237 trips and placed 29th out of 300 teams for the whole challenge. Way to go, Team Epstein!
We have prizes to acknowledge the people on our team who went above and beyond. Those individuals include:
- Edward Curley (214.67 mi) Whoa.
- Sean King (180.03 mi)
- Samantha Schneider (25)
- Greg Osborne (25)
- Tim Gustafson, see below for the visual proof
1. Trey Erbs, who was our team captain (63.3 mi, 93 pts)
2. Paul Sanderson - way to go, NYC! Thank you for participating! (21.8 mi, 62 pts)
Thank you to everyone who participated! We hope this was a good reason for you to get on your bike and pump pedals instead of gas.
