One of Epsteins projects has been selected by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois (ACEC) to receive an Honor Award at the 2020 Engineering Excellence Awards ceremony.

The project selected, 150 N. Riverside, is a new 54-story 1.2 million-square-foot office tower for Riverside Investment, located on a two-acre site in Chicago. In providing civil, transportation and bridge/structural engineering services for Riverside, Epstein designed solutions for the site infrastructure, pedestrian access and bridge modifications. The project also featured construction over the Amtrak rail lines, reconstruction of the existing river wall and modification to the Lake St. & Randolph St. bridge structures.

According to the ACEC, Honor Awards are given to projects which are recognized for exceptional engineering that meet the needs of the client and benefit the public welfare. Only nine Honor Awards will be presented this year. Additionally, as an Honor Award winner, 150 N. Riverside is also a contender to receive the highest award, the Lincolns Grand Conceptor, which recognizes an engineering achievement that demonstrates a high degree of merit and ingenuity, contributes to the advancement of the private practice of engineering, and enhances the economic and social welfare of the general public.

Epstein has won the Grand Conceptor award three times; heres hoping we make it four!
