Overview

Epstein was architect of record and MEP/FP engineer for the new spy-themed SafeHouse Chicago restaurant and bar.

Process

Operated much like the Milwaukee SafeHouse landmark, a similar espionage-themed dining experience that has been around since 1966, the SafeHouse Chicago, features a modernized version of that iconic Milwaukee destination.

The SafeHouse Chicago, which is owned by Marcus Hotels, Resorts and Restaurants, is located at 60 E. Ontario Street, adjacent to Marcus’ Marriott AC Hotel at 630 N. Rush Street, features two bars, a dining room, lounge, dance floor and a “spybrary.” In addition, the SafeHouse Chicago includes part of authentic World War II spy plane as well as a piece of the Berlin Wall.
