Seaboard Farms – Triumph Foods January 2017 Construction Progress Update

Construction continues on schedule as winter arrives

Here’s the monthly construction progress update, courtesy of Jeremy Wright, our construction project manager for one of the largest projects we’ve ever undertaken as a Design-Builder, the Seaboard - Triumph Foods Pork Processing Plant in Sioux City, Iowa.

‘Construction continues on schedule as winter arrives. Our final two major equipment vendors are mobilizing to the site this month as we continue to complete slab pours Distribution and Kill Floor areas.  Work on the out buildings continues as the Waste Water Treatment Plant wet well comes to grade and we prepare to install precast in that area.  Meanwhile our refrigeration and rendering subcontractors are moving quickly to complete their work in the engine room and rendering space.

The 750,000 square foot Seaboard Farms – Triumph Foods facility is budgeted at $264M and is scheduled to be completed mid-2017.
