Epstein’s David Scott, AIA & Larry Dalziel, AIA Attend Bisnow NYC Hospitality Industry Summit

Learning how NYC Hospitality Leaders Achieve Continued Success

This coming Wednesday, January 10th, Epstein’s director of hospitality, David A. Scott, AIA, and our NYC-based senior project manager, Larry Dalziel, AIA will be attending the Bisnow NYC Hospitality Industry Summit being held at New World Stages located at 340 W. 50th Street in New York. This conference includes presentations and round-table discussions from executives of many of the nation’s leading hotel operators including Marriott & Viceroy, two brands that the Epstein organization is currently providing design and engineering services for around the world.

The Hospitality Industry topics that will be discussed during this Bisnow event include,

How is the hospitality industry switching gears in order to satisfy the needs of millennials?

How are traditional brands transforming in the age of Airbnb?

How will new zoning changes curb hotel development?

Is supply of hotels outpacing demand?

Will international travel pick back up?

Is it possible to have the best ingredients at modest prices?

This conference will also provide David and Larry an opportunity to network with Hospitality Industry leaders to update attendees on the significant hotel design work Epstein is providing its clients including the aforementioned work with Marriott & Viceroy.

Our current assignments for Marriott include the Marriott AC at Hudson Yards, a project for which Epstein is the architect of record for this new 25-story, 105,000 square foot, 220-room hotel located in New York’s Hudson Yards District.  Located adjacent to the largest private real estate development in the country, this hotel will be the signature piece in the AC brand for Marriott.  The hotel will have a fitness center below grade and two floors of amenity space at the top of the building with dramatic and sweeping views of the Hudson Yards development, the West Side of Manhattan and the Hudson River.  The amenity floor will feature a lounge with bar and 25 foot floor-to-ceiling glass windows, as well as a breakfast lounge, a meeting room and an outdoor terrace.
