Last month, the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois (ACEC-IL) recognized Epstein's engineering efforts on the recently completed 925,000 sq. ft. Seaboard Triumph Foods (STF) Pork Processing Facility in Sioux City, Iowa. We are delighted to share that the ACEC-IL also honored our work with a Judges Choice Award in the Industrial and Manufacturing Processes category! The Judges Choice Award is given to the highest rated project in each of the 12 different engineering excellence categories.

For STF, which sits on a 245-acre site, Epstein's civil, MEP, structural and industrial process engineers were tasked with designing a site and facility that uses robotics and innovative technologies to produce the most sought-after pork for diverse global consumers. The design of the STF facility reflects a modern food processing plant, incorporating many state-of-the-art technologies, including sustainable engineering solutions such as: biogas recovery from lagoons to power boilers, lagoons designed to reduce soil removal costs, and ammonia condenser heat recovery for defrost operation.

We are extremely proud of the engineering solutions our team was able to develop for STF, and are equally as pleased to be publicly recognized by the ACEC-IL for our efforts!
