Its that time of the year when we can make the always-enjoyable announcement about the professional advancements of members of the Epstein family.

Recently, 14 employees received well-deserved promotions for their overall performances. Those individuals include:

Alex Chu, AIA, NCARB PM, Vice President. Alex joined Epstein in 2012, bringing over 15 years of AEC industry design and management experience with him. During his time with us, he has been an integral part of several noteworthy projects, including assignments at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center as well as for renovations to food processing facilities across the United States. Alex is currently managing multiple projects for Peoples Gas across Chicagoland.

Tim Gall, PE, SE Civil, Associate Vice President. Tim, whos been with Epstein since 2016, has taken on the role of project manager and/or lead bridge engineer for a variety of infrastructure projects, many of them for the Illinois Department of Transportation and Illinois Tollway. Tims current work includes the replacement of the Recirculation Bridge at OHare International Airport.

Laura Rebbe, AIA, LEED AP BD+C PM, Vice President. Laura is one of our Chicago-based project managers. She Joined Epstein in 2015 and, during her 4-year tenure, has been an invaluable asset in the delivery of a wide-variety of projects, including serving as the project manager for the nationwide renovation program for exterior and interior building enhancements to La Quinta hotels throughout the United States.

Patrick Alcock MEP, Senior Design Engineer. Patrick came to Epstein in 2015, shortly after graduating from the Milwaukee School of Engineering with a degree in architectural engineering with a focus on electrical design. Throughout the past four years, Patrick has worked on several key projects, including the La Quinta Hotel renovation and expansion, a new processing facility for Dailys Premium Meats in St. Joseph, Missouri as well as modernization program for restrooms at OHare.

Monika Ciesielska HR, Human Resources Generalist. Monika began her Epstein career as our receptionist in 2014 and then soon thereafter joined our HR group. During her time in HR, Monika has helped coordinate and lead numerous staff initiatives and outings like our beloved Bowling Outings as well as multiple efforts on behalf of our in-house charity, the Epstein Community Foundation.

Anthony Dary, EIT Structural, Senior Design Engineer. Anthony joined Epstein in 2015. Since then, hes provided structural design engineering services for a variety of projects. Most recently, he worked on the Seaboard Triumph Foods plant in Sioux City, Iowa, an expansion to Baldwin-Richardsons production plant in Rochester, New York as well as the Prestage Foods of Iowa plant in Eagle Grove, Iowa.

Deion DeBose Civil, Senior Design Engineer. Deion, who started at Epstein in 2016, is skilled in developing site development and stormwater pollution prevention plans for a variety of public and private developments. He has worked on projects spanning from OHares pedestrian tunnels water infiltration remediation to the Illinois Medical District Gateway Development to new facilities for Peoples Gas.


Jake Effinger Structural, Project Engineer. Jake, who joined Epstein in 2015, has a strong technical understanding in the design of steel, reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete structures. During his time with Epstein, he has provided engineering services for multiple projects for the Illinois Tollways Systemwide Maintenance Facility program, a new transformer building at the Javits Convention Center & food production plant for Vegetable Juices in Bedford Park, Illinois.

Laura Flores, AIA LEED ID+C, CSI Interiors, Senior Project Architect. Laura started with us in 2013. Throughout her time with Epstein, she has taken on many roles, such as project manager and project architect. She has also been a crucial member of numerous architectural teams including the planning and design of a new spice plant for Tajin in Mexico, multiple co-working spaces for Industrious in the Midwest, as well as the renovation of the Whirlpool Global Headquarters in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

Peter Hepp Construction, Project Manager. Peter only joined Epstein in 2018, but has worked on many vital industrial projects during his first year. For those projects, which include assignments for Smithfield Farmer John in California as well as an expansion to Dailys Premium Meats plant in Salt Lake City, Utah, Peter has expertly provided construction engineering services as well as design phase schedule development and construction management .

Gary Lammers Construction, Field Manager. Gary, who has over 16 years of experience in the industry, uses his strong leadership capabilities and project management skills to help Epstein deliver projects like the Seaboard Triumph Foods plant, an expansion to Triumph Foods plant in St. Joseph, Missouri and a CO2 Expansion for Smithfield Farmer John in California.

Charlie Luthanen Civil, Senior Design Engineer. Charlie joined Epstein in 2017. His experience in roadway and stormwater design, site grading, plan production, and construction inspection and management have made him a valuable asset to our Civil group. During his time with Epstein he has worked on projects for Smithfield in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and a new distillery for Alexandrion in Carmel, New York.

Andrew Pape Interiors, Project Manager. Joining Epstein in 2017, Andrew brought with him six years of interior design and management experience for corporate office, laboratory and retail clients. He has since provided those services for an assortment of projects, including multiple assignments, as part of an on-call Building Architect assignment, at the 55 West Monroe high-rise in Chicago.

Jon Scales IPE, Senior Project Engineer. Jon started at Epstein in 2013. His extensive experience in performing in-depth production system analysis, frequently utilizing dynamic simulation software, has allowed him to serve as the lead industrial simulation engineer for national and international clients in a wide variety of industries. Some of Jons most notable projects include a new bakery, vehicle maintenance facility and distribution center for the Army and Air Forces Exchange Service at Ft. Humphreys in South Korea as well as the award-winning process system for Seaboard Triumph Foods plant.
