Jeff Beran Quoted in Food Engineering Magazine’s Food Plant Construction Survey

Gives his insights into how Virtual Reality can be used to help design food plants

Epstein’s Jeff Beran, PE is quoted in the cover article in the latest issue of Food Engineering magazine. This feature editorial unveils the results of Food Engineering’s annual survey in which the magazine conducts exclusive research to compile food industry’s trends as well as a comprehensive listing of current and/or recently completed food and beverage plant projects in the United States. In the article, Jeff, who is Epstein’s industrial project engineer, gives his insights into how Virtual Reality can be used to help design food plants. In addition, Epstein has been utilizing Virtual Reality as a design tool for the past couple of years with our Food Industry clients and our engineers have found that Virtual Reality helps our clients ‘experience their facility before we build it.’ Through interactive ‘3D walking tours’ we have helped expedite design development, improved design quality and constructability, reduced change orders, and improved plant safety and operability.
