We are pleased to welcome Hedaia Ahmad to Epstein - the newest member of our civil engineering group.
Hedaia comes to us after working for Jones Moore Construction for the past 8 months as a sub-consultant to us on the recently completed Runway 10R-28L as part of the O'Hare Modernization Program. For that project, Hedaia was responsible for drainage and underdrain layout and design, grading and erosion control design. In addition, Hedaia also provided airside implementation, including pavement design using FAARFIELD, aircraft turn simulation using Aeroturn, and taxiway design based on Advisory Circulars.
Hedaia graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology (Go Scarlet Hawks!) with a degree in Civil Engineering and is currently planning on getting her master's degree all while studying for her license exam! (Hedaia – we see you really aren't planning on sleeping much over the next couple of years!)
Hedaia currently volunteers as the advisor for the student chapter at IIT and is the Student Liaison/CMIT to the Construction Management Association of America-Chicago Board. She is also on the Arab American Association for Engineers & Architects (AAAEA) National Publication Committee helping with their events.
When she has any free time (does that even exist?) Hedaia enjoys spending it with her family (she is one of 9 siblings and with all her nieces and nephews that number grows to 20!) and her friends. She also enjoys traveling, drawing, cooking, baking and yoga.
Once again, welcome to the family Hedaia and are you sure we can't interest you in joining a couple more professional groups?
