Process

Epstein provided full architectural design and civil and MEP/FP engineering services for the renovation of 20,000 square feet of space at John Morrell's Cudahy facility to provide more space for raw bacon slicing operations.

In June 2009, this facility suffered tremendous damage during a fire and over 400,000 square feet of the plant was destroyed. Much of that space had not been rebuilt. As John Morell developed longer range plans and options for this plant, they decided to expand their raw bacon slicing capabilities and this renovation/expansion will increase total slicing capacity and efficiencies.
