We just received the photography for the recently renovated Westin Chicago Northwest hotel project where Epstein served as the architect of record, lighting designer, MEP engineer and structural engineer for modifications and improvements to the Westins gift shop, restaurants, lobby, lounge, registration, meeting rooms, as well as 12 different types of guestrooms.

For this Westin hotel, which is located in Itasca, Illinois, Epsteins lighting design team collaborated with The Gettys Group, the interior designer, to develop lighting solutions that would enhance and create a distinct ambiance for each of the renovated spaces. Epsteins lighting designers, through a combination of utilization of the newest technology in lighting, including utilizing LED light sources, color changing RGB, and dimming and automated controls, produced an overall lighting design solution that was a enormous upgrade to the original hotel spaces.

At the Westin, Epstein architects and engineers also collaborated with Gettys to design a new lobby that features updated furniture, paint, flooring, and decor, all inspired by the hotels natural scenery. In addition, there is also a new Executive Club Lounge, featuring partially separated work and leisure areas which are geared for small group gatherings.

Our team also helped to modernize the lobby and dining outlets which included a new Marketplace for grab & go guests as well as the 400 Park Bistro, a business casual dining established, as well as Seared, a fine dining experience.

We also worked with Gettys to deliver a new restyled meeting spaces that provide much improved rooms for small and large groups alike.

Besides the various public spaces we helped renovate and modernize, our architects and engineers also collaborated with Gettys to design all new guest rooms and bathrooms which include first-class amenities. Each room will now features updated furniture, lighting, artwork, and decor, including a new 42 LCD television. Guest room amenities included a media center, work lounge, closet, vanity, and guest area. The bathrooms were also updated with a new shower system, flooring, and decor.
