Construction has recently begun on the first phase of the Equilibrium office development, a two-building complex that will be located in the northern part of Bucharest, Romania. For this development, Epstein is providing BIM design coordination and peer review, cost estimating as well as administration services for the projects LEED certification.

Development and construction of Equilibrium is being led by Skanska and the first building, a ¬37M ($42M), 12-story, 20,800 square meter (224,000 sf) structure which will provide 240 underground and aboveground parking places, is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2019. When the 2nd phase is completed, the entire Equilibrium development will provide 40,700 square meters (438,000 sf) of office space.


Equilibrium is pursuing LEED-NC Gold certification and will include numerous sustainable design features including carbon footprint calculation, dashboard showing energy consumption, high speed chargers for electrical cars, & ample landscaped green space for both tenants of the building and the public.
