Last night, June 14th, at the Ely Chapter of Lambda Alpha Internationals (LAI) 87th Annual Banquet Gala, held within Chicagos Peninsula Hotel, Epsteins director of architecture and interior design, L. Randall (Randy) Buescher, AIA, was initiated as a new member of this organization which is dedicated to the study and understanding of land economics. Randys selection, which involves a highly selective nomination process, was initiated by active LAI members Grace Rappe, a senior associate at Stantec, and Rada Doytcheva, principal of RADA Architects.

For those of you not familiar with LAI, the organization was established in 1930 on the campus of Northwestern University to help foster the study of land economics. The members of LAI include professional from all over the world who have, distinguished themselves in all of the various disciplines and activities that relate to the use and re-use of land. These individuals include not only those who are involved in the ownership, management, regulation and conservation of land, but also those who are involved in its development, redevelopment and preservation.

LAI membership includes architects, engineers, real estate developers, planners, government officials, professors, bankers, attorneys, real estate consultants, and officials of organizations and national and international associations.
