A few of the architects in our Romanian office have been getting LEED accredited in order to provide our clients with LEED Consulting services for Romanian projects that are pursing United States Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED certification. One of these projects is the Green Court Bucharest (GCB) Building A office development which Epstein served as the LEED Consultant and helped this facility with its recently awarded LEED-NC Gold certification.

This three-building office campus, located in Bucharests Floreascu-Barbu Vacarescu area, features numerous sustainable design elements including an energy efficient façade with an unique shading system/high-performance glazing as well as solar photovoltaic panels for producing the buildings hot water. In addition, GCB has an energy-saving lighting system utilizing motion sensors, water efficient fixtures and storm/grey water reuse systems resulting in water consumption savings of more than 40% over a typical base model.

Epstein is also providing similar services for GCB Building B which is also pursuing LEED-NC Gold certification. We expect Building B to be officially certified in the next month or so.

With the GCBs Building A" certification, Epstein has now played a significant design, engineering and/or LEED consulting role in helping 49 buildings achieve LEED certification.
