We are pleased to welcome Mica Manaois, our new Director of Interior Projects, to Epstein!

Mica comes to us from AECOM, a global engineering, architecture, design and construction firm. As a senior manager, she was responsible for overseeing multiple commercial interior projects and the development of a national operational program.

At Epstein, Mica will be joining the Interior team, where she will be tasked with developing and managing business relationships with clients in the commercial interiors, hospitality and retail markets.

She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Northern Illinois University (go Huskies!) in interior architecture. While at NIU, Mica held a leadership role in the Sigma Lambda Sigma sorority.

Mica also studied for the LEED AP Certification program and obtained her BD+C certification. She is an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council.

Mica says she has always been passionate about design and architecture, adding, My mother was a fine artist, and as kids, she always found creative and artistic ways to keep us busy. She is the oldest of nine siblings, and delivered her last three brothers since the doctor was late to arrive to the house. Whoa, that is impressive!

Mica has two teenage boys who love to play baseball. On Monday mornings, you can expect to find her either sunburnt or exhausted from a full day of back-to-back games over the weekend.

Both of my boys have a huge passion for the sport. So much that it caught the eye of a scout when my oldest was 8-years-old. A St. Louis Cardinal scout came chasing after me and my boys after a game. He asked if it would be alright to keep in contact as he watched the development of my son. After realizing he was legitimate, we have remained friends and often reminisce of that most awkward moment. He has continually advocated for my son to play professional baseball. OK. Now I dont know who Im more impressed with!

Perhaps one day Mica will be the mom of a MLB catcher or pitcher¦ giving all of us the right to say, We know her!

Some of Micas additional hobbies include painting, reading, swimming, bicycling, golfing, skiing and lifting very heavy weights. Yep, you read that right. Mica is a self-proclaimed Olympic lifter. Does that translate into you doing all of the heavy lifting on the Interiors team, Mica...?

She also likes to treasure hunt for small unique antiques such as pocket watches, 100-year-old bibles written in Latin, Waterford crystal bowls/vases, and many other great antique finds from all over the world. Should you need something unique or special, let her know and she will be more than happy to help!

Also, Mica has a compassionate heart and always intently listens to the people that surround her. She enjoys listening to people and the stories they tell. Without fail, Mica seems to make new friends on planes, trains and even in automobiles. We can surely see that!

Welcome again, Mica. We are thrilled to have you join us!
