This coming Wednesday, January 10th, Epsteins director of hospitality, David A. Scott, AIA, and our NYC-based senior project manager, Larry Dalziel, AIA will be attending the Bisnow NYC Hospitality Industry Summit being held at New World Stages located at 340 W. 50th Street in New York. This conference includes presentations and round-table discussions from executives of many of the nations leading hotel operators including Marriott & Viceroy, two brands that the Epstein organization is currently providing design and engineering services for around the world.

The Hospitality Industry topics that will be discussed during this Bisnow event include,

How is the hospitality industry switching gears in order to satisfy the needs of millennials?

How are traditional brands transforming in the age of Airbnb?

How will new zoning changes curb hotel development?

Is supply of hotels outpacing demand?

Will international travel pick back up?

Is it possible to have the best ingredients at modest prices?

This conference will also provide David and Larry an opportunity to network with Hospitality Industry leaders to update attendees on the significant hotel design work Epstein is providing its clients including the aforementioned work with Marriott & Viceroy.


For Viceroy, Epstein is providing lead architectural design and full service engineering for the new Grand Hotel, The mixed-use project combines a luxury boutique Viceroy hotel with a convention center, casino and nightclub located on a picturesque bend of the Svislach River in Minsk, Belarus. In addition to 149 luxury guest rooms, the Grand Hotel will feature a riverside restaurant with stunning urban views, a 300 seat ballroom, meeting rooms, a spa and health club, a swimming pool, a night club, and retail organized around a light-filled central atrium and floating garden.


Our current assignments for Marriott include the Marriott Autograph at Hudson Yards, a project for which Epstein is the architect of record for this new 25-story, 105,000 square foot, 220-room hotel located in New Yorks Hudson Yards District. Located adjacent to the largest private real estate development in the country, this hotel will be the signature piece in the Autograph brand for Marriott. The hotel will feature an expansive ï¬tness center and two ï¬oors of amenity space at the top of the building with dramatic and sweeping views of the Hudson Yards development, the West Side of Manhattan and the Hudson River. The amenity ï¬oor will feature a lounge with bar and 25 foot ï¬oor-to-ceiling glass windows, as well as a breakfast lounge, a meeting room and an outdoor terrace.
