This past Thursday, August 10th, Epsteins vice president and director of hospitality, David A. Scott, AIA, our senior vice president and director of architecture and interior design, L. Randall (Randy) Buescher, AIA, and project architect, Michael Dalezman, attended the Hotel ROI Conference held at Wyndham Grand Chicago Riverfront. This event brought together hotel operators, owners and investors and featured a round-table discussion in which hospitality experts gave suggestions in how to increase profitability in all aspects of hotel operations.

The biggest takeaway from the conference for David was that the hotel industry is ever-evolving to meet the demands of the traveler and hotels must continue to adapt in order to succeed, hotels follow trends and new is always better than old. Technology is at the forefront of guest expectations and todays traveler looks for quality in the amenities provided and the overall experience of their stay.

David, Randy and Mike have played a major role in the further development of our hospitality industry design and engineering services including significant assignments like the recently completed 5-star Conrad by Hilton in Chicago, a nationwide renovation program for the La Quinta Corporation as well as improvements to Chicagos Residence Inn and Westin Chicago Northwest in Itasca, Illinois.

This recent work supplements the nearly 70 history Epsteins architects and engineers have had helping brands like Hyatt, Holiday Inn, Marriott and Inter-Continental plan and design hotel facilities across the United States and Europe.
