Late last week we were notified that OneEleven, a high-rise residential building located at 111 W. Wacker in Chicago that we served as Architect of Record for was certified LEED-NC Gold!

OneEleven was commended for a variety of sustainable design features including a reduction in the Heat Island Effect through a vegetated roof that covers 68.5% of the base building roof. In addition, OneEleven has achieved significant potable water use reduction through the use of efficient plumbing fixtures and landscaping/irrigation systems. Lastly, OneElevens mechanical systems, which include an improved thermal envelope, high efficiency glazing, reeducated interior lighting density, occupancy sensors, high-efficient water heaters and water source heat pumps, have achieved annual cost savings of 20.56%!

With OneElevens certification Epstein has now played a significant design, engineering and/or LEED consulting role in helping 46 buildings achieve LEED certification.
