This coming Wednesday, May 27th, Epstein's director of interior design, Mark Fischer, LEED AP, will be a panelist at lunchtime conversation at the Eastbank Club hosted by CREW Chicago in which 'how we work and where we work' is changing workplace design. With the onslaught of instantaneous information sharing taking over not only how we communicate as individuals but also how we work/collaborate with our clients/co-workers the traditional Mad Men-era corner office workspace has become a quaint symbol of 'bygone era' and replaced with open work spaces where the line between boss and employee is now blurred.

Mark will be on panel of designers, workplace strategists and brokers discussing this change and what professionals in the planning, design and execution of 21st workplaces have learned during this transformation.

Registering in advance for this Luncheon which will take place between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm costs $50 for CREW Members and $75 for Nonmembers (there's an additional $25 charge for paying at the door).

Examples of Mark's designs that embrace the transformation in workplace design -

Leading Performance Nutritional Supplement Provider (Graphics) - Large scale graphics enliven the environment and create an interesting dialog within the workplace.

American Society of Clinical Pathology (Collaborative Space) - The design encouraged collaboration with the inclusion of an open conference room, intimate huddle area, colorful stools and upholstered flat files that provided additional seating.

Intercontinental|Exchange (Open Workstations)- The open office areas take full advantage of the spectacular views of Chicago to the north, east and south by locating private offices inward with floor to ceiling glass fronts.
