We are pleased to welcome our new Design Professional, Gisella Nicho, to Epsteins Architecture Group!

Prior to joining Epstein, Gisella worked at Aria Group Architects, where she focused on an assortment of recreation/entertainment projects, such as the Chicago North Soccer Center and the Giordanos on Rush Street.

Gisella graduated with a Bachelors of Architecture from the University of Texas at San Antonio (Go Roadrunners!) and her Masters of Architecture (MArch) from Kingston University in London. While obtaining her masters, she got the opportunity to travel around different parts of Europe, research and visit some of the Palladian Villas.

Her earlier influence into this industry began from watching her carpenter neighbor build things in their shared patio.

His structures were quite simple, but, as a kid, I always thought they were interesting. When I was about to graduate from high school, a career test said I should be in the design/architecture field. I followed the results and Im glad it led me to where I am today.

Gisella was born in Lima, Peru and lived there until she was 15-years-old, when her and her family moved to the United States. They lived in California for a little while, but ended up settling in Texas, which is where Gisella resided until she moved to Chicago. Her family, however, still lives in Texas. I spend Christmas there. In 65 degree weather.

On the flip side, when Gisella first visited the city, it was during one of Chicagos lovely winter snowstorms. Since she had never seen snow before, she loved it! After that first visit, she decided she was ready to live here. And, now that shes been a Chicagoan for quite some time, she still enjoys the snow, except when it melts.

Outside of work, Gisella likes to eat different cuisines and try new restaurants. Traveling is also something she really enjoys, and attempts to travel to a new country once a year.

Welcome, Gisella, were thrilled to have you join Epstein!
