Last night, May 23rd, Epstein was proud to co-sponsor a Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC) Boat Tour of the South Branch of the Chicago River. On a beautiful evening, a definite rarity in Chicago this spring, members of the MPC, community organizations, engineering firms like Epstein, contractors and stakeholders with an interest in responsible & sustainable development along the Chicago River were treated to a tour, which highlighted recently completed improvements to the South Branch as well as insights into the many new developments planned.

Besides helping to sponsor the tour, Epstein was well represented, as Greg Osborne, Gail Pollard, Dave Hilty and Andrew Pape attended, as well as Tim Gustafson, who will officially join the Epstein family on the 29th of May.

Lastly, for those of you not familiar with Epsteins long-standing connection and interest in the health and sustainability of the Chicago River, weve been the engineer on multiple new award-winning river friendly developments, including 300 N. LaSalle, Wolf Point West, River Point and 150 N. Riverside. In addition, Epsteins design of the Riverview Bridge, a 1,000 foot long pedestrian bridge that will span the Chicago River just north of Addison and seamlessly connect two public parks, is currently under construction.
