Its that time of the year when we can make the always enjoyable announcement about the professional advancements of fellow members of the Epstein family. Recently, eight Epsteiners from our Chicago and New York offices received well-deserved promotions for their overall performances. The family members receiving these promotions were Laura Rebbe, AIA, LEED AP BD+C; Paul Sanderson, AIA; Hisham Odish; Will Ernst; Nick Hawkins, PMP, LEED AP; Emilio Padilla, AIA, LEED AP; Jeremy Rose, PE; and Rick Schlude.


Laura is one of our Chicago-based project managers and she has been promoted to associate vice president. Laura joined Epstein in 2015 and during her three-year tenure has been an invaluable asset in the delivery of a wide-variety of projects including serving as the project manager for the nationwide renovation program for exterior and interior building enhancements to La Quinta hotels throughout the United States.


Paul is our New York-based project manager and he is also now an associate vice president. Paul joined Epstein in 2008 and over these past 8 years has been an integral part of our design team working on a multitude of award-winning renovation, expansion and improvement projects at New Yorks Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.


Hisham is our Chicago-based Global BIM Specialist and he is now also an associate vice president. Hisham joined Epstein in 2017 and over this past year has done an incredible job advancing our Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities and resources for projects in the industrial and commercial sectors.


Will, formerly a project architect working in our Chicago studio, is now a construction project manager. Will joined Epstein in 2012 and recently served as the PA for our Design-Build efforts completing the massive (925,000 sf) Seaboard Triumph Foods Fresh Pork Processing Plant in Sioux City, Iowa. Wills exceptional performance on STF made him an ideal candidate for managing subsequent Design-Build projects led by our construction group.


Nick, who joined Epstein in 2015 as a senior construction manager in our construction group, is now a project executive. Nick also provided excellent leadership and management services on the STF assignment as well as the currently under construction Prestage Foods of Iowa Pork Processing Plant in Eagle Grove, Iowa.


Emilio, who joined Epstein in 2015 as a project architect, is now a senior project architect. During Emilios time at Epstein he has proven to be a trusted and skilled designer & manager working on incredibly complicated industrial developments like the $120M Grupo Porcicolo Mexicano (GPM) Kekén Pork Processing Plant in Merida, Mexico.


Jeremy, who joined Epstein in 2016 as a civil design engineer, is now a project engineer. Jeremy has proven to be a detailed, dedicated and talented civil engineer working on multiple projects for the Illinois Department of Transportation including the improvement of five miles of Illinois Route 62 (Algonquin Road) as well as intersection improvements to IL 59 and Bartlett Road.


Rick, who joined Epstein in 2015 as electrical design engineer, is now a senior design engineer. During Ricks three years with Epstein he has shown to be an accomplished and important asset on a wide-spectrum of project types including industrial food processing projects as well as hospitality assignments and corporate interiors.
