Welcome to Epstein – Charlie Luthanen!

The newest member of our civil engineering team

Epstein is pleased to welcome Charlie Luthanen, the newest member of our civil engineering team, to the Epstein family. Kyle, who comes to us from DLZ, where he worked on roadway design of county roads, multi-use paths, and storm water design for many municipalities in northwest Indiana. Prior to his time at DLZ, Charlie worked as a Construction Inspector in the field on a large dual intersection redesign. At Epstein, Charlie will be working on a variety of site design projects, including the new Prestage Foods of Iowa plant, the Smithfield new hog barn and the expansion of the Baldwin-Richardson facility.

Charlie was born and raised in the Cleveland (Go Tribe! Go Cavs! – Charlie, we’ll keep the Browns on the DL, sound good?) area, specifically Macedonia, and graduated from THE Ohio State University (go Bucks!). At OSH, Charlie started out studying Chemical Engineering and made the wise decision to switch to Civil.

Charlie and his new puppy Oso (Spanish for bear) live in Bucktown, they enjoy exploring the city, going to the beach and fishing.  On the weekends he is busy golfing, playing basketball, volleyball or building furniture.

Once again, Charlie, welcome to the family!
