Earlier this month, Building Design + Construction (BD+C) magazine released further details on its 41st annual Giants 300 rankings for the top architecture, engineering and construction firms and we are pleased to report that Epstein ranked near the top in multiple categories. Specifically, Epstein came in at #13 for Industrial Engineering, #20 for Hotel Engineering, #22 for Engineering/Architecture Firms, #37 for Multi-Family Engineering Firms, #71 for Healthcare Engineering Firms and #109 for Top Contractor Firms.

Epsteins industrial development portfolio includes the recently completed $300M pork processing facility for Seaboard Triumph Foods in Sioux City, Iowa, a project that Epstein design, engineered and built, as well as state-of-the-art production facilities for Alpina Foods, Dailys Premium Meats, and continued work for one of the leading Nutraceutical Powder Blending Companys in the world. In addition, Epstein industrial project experience includes manufacturing plants, warehouses, distribution centers, and product development facilities.


Epstein has over sixty years of experience designing hotels for some of the hospitality industrys largest operators. Since the 50s, Epstein has provided professional design and planning services for companies like the Hyatt Corporation, Hilton, Holiday Inn, Marriott, La Quinta, and the Inter-Continental Hotels Corporation. Epstein has supplied these operators with services ranging from master and space planning to facility design and engineering. Recently completed Epstein hotel projects include the Five-Star Conrad Chicago as well as nationwide renovation program for La Quinta.


Epsteins diverse depth of services range from architecture to interior design to full-service engineering including civil, industrial, MEP and structural. The depth and range of our portfolio also includes projects as diverse as iconic high-rise office buildings to intricate and complex industrial processing facilities to intensive transportation infrastructure assignments.


Epstein has provided architecture and engineering services for residential developers throughout the United States & Central Europe. Whether the project is a high-rise luxury condominium building or mixed-use development Epstein has proved to be a valuable partner in any residential project. These multi-family projects include the recently completed OneEleven, a luxury high-rise development in Chicago, as well as civil engineering services for Wolf Point West, a 48-story residential apartment tower in Chicago.


As a firm, we are dedicated to our clients in the health care industry and have enjoyed a history of providing services for Chicagos Michael Reese Hospital, the University of Illinois Hospital and the Cermak Health Facility. Most recently, Epsteins full-service architects and engineers have provided design services for multiple projects on the campus of the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital in Hines, Illinois. These projects include new space for outpatient mental health counseling, a Veteran/Staff Fitness Center, office space for the VAs Compensation and Pension staff, as well as exam rooms/nursing stations.

In addition to a complete range of design services, Epstein, since 1951, has provided construction services for office buildings, distribution centers, warehouses, food processing plants, manufacturing facilities. Our recent construction portfolio includes the Prestage Foods of Iowa pork processing facility currently under construction in Eagle Grove, Iowa as well as the recently completed manufacturing and office headquarters for G&W Electric in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
