Today we held a retirement party luncheon for Al Pomerance, a beloved member of the Epstein family for the past 32* years, at Erie Street Café in Chicago. (Actually as Al pointed out at the luncheon 31 and 2/3s years but who is counting?)

Al has been an institution at Epstein during his three decade plus tenure with our firm serving as our project manager and/or project director on a wide variety of high-profile Chicago projects including McCormick Place Convention Center South Hall Expansion, the United Airlines Terminal 1 Complex, and the Midway Airport Passenger Terminal Redevelopment.

Over the past decade Al has also led our business development efforts in the aviation industry and was instrumental in winning multiple runway and taxiway development assignments at OHare International as well as airport expansion projects at Port Columbus International Airport, Lambert-St. Louis International Airport and Orlando International Airport.

Not only has Al been influential in bringing in and directing major projects for our organization, but hes also been a trusted mentor and leader, nurturing the careers of many fellow Epsteiners.

Al, you will be missed. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that youve done for our company as well as for us as individuals. You can never be replaced.

Enjoy your retirement with Rita and your kids, Marc and Fran.

Lastly, this is Epstein ground control granting you clearance to Takeoff. Bon voyage!
