Epstein is pleased to introduce the newest member of our Construction Group Tracy Matheny. Tracy is our Safety Manager, currently working in Eagle Grove, Iowa on the Prestage Foods of Iowa Pork Processing Plant.

Tracy has been working in construction safety for 31 years. He comes to us from Siouxland Safety Services, a safety consultant firm we hired to supplement our construction efforts for the recently completed Seaboard Triumph Foods (STF) Pork Processing Plant in Sioux City, Iowa. For STF, Tracy was the Safety Manager for this 925,000 sf, $300M industrial facility.

Besides focusing on safety in the construction industry, Tracy was selected to work as a Health and Safety Officer at the Amundsen Scott Research Station in Antarctica from 2009 to 2010. It took Tracy 10 years to get into the program and he has now experienced a truly once in a lifetime adventure. Photos from his stay at the South Pole can be seen here and a multiple videos of his time in Antarctica can be found on YouTube.

Lastly, Tracy is from Paducah, Kentucky and has two daughters and four grandchildren. His father still lives in Paducah and, in addition, he really feels his co-workers are also family. His home base is currently Remsen, Iowa and he enjoys traveling, fishing, camping, horseback riding and going to yard sales. He loves meeting new people and considers himself a daredevil and a road warrior. (Well Tracy, going to the South Pole definitely makes you both of those!)

Once again, Tracy, welcome to the family!
