Epstein provided interior design services for Anton's Salon and Spa, an 11,000 square foot facility spanning two levels. The salon includes a manicure-pedicure area, a two-story shampoo room, and 40 individual hairstyling stations. The spa features individual and couples' treatment rooms, as well as relaxation rooms.
The spatial divergence from the dramatic two-story reception lobby immediately makes clear the dichotomy between the salon and spa. Although separate, these two main spaces flow alongside one another. They are linked on the client's side by two means – the lobby and an understated entry at the client lunch and relaxation room. Retail shelving lines these various paths. Leading into the salon, the retail component foreshadows the presence of two vivid showcases – the shampoo room and salon. As one travels between the two main spaces, the salon's energetic and rhythmic ambience transitions almost instantaneously into one of calmness and tranquility.
