Zlote Tarasy
Warsaw, Poland Epstein was the architect of record working with the design architect, The Jerde Partnership International, Inc., for this mixed-use development. This 2,400,000 square foot development is located on a site adjacent to the Central Railway Station of Warsaw and consists of a multiplex cinema, multi-level retail (including restaurants, service, and department stores), a high-rise office building and a 1400-car underground parking space. The Zlote Tarasy features one of the largest glass roofs in the world comprised of hundreds of pie-shape wedges, none of which are identical, and the first Hard Rock Café in Central Europe. The facility is expected to attract 12 million visitors during its first year, which will further stimulate development in Warsaw's central business district. This project was developed by Zlote Tarasy Sp.z.o.o, a joint-venture company between ING Real Estate Sp.z.o.o. and the City of Warsaw, and was completed in February 2007.
