Princess Cruises
Valencia, California
For nearly a decade Epstein has served Princess Cruises in assessing headquarters and operations facilities requirements, developing short and long term facilities strategies, and implementing solutions to enhance competitive advantage. A milestone in this partnership was the relocation to a new 165,000 square foot headquarters, a two building complex in the town center of Valencia, California.
Epstein developed pre-architectural criteria, evaluated candidate sites (both existing buildings and planned developments), collaborated with the selected developers and their architect to modify the building design to optimize space utilization, and provided full interior design services.
All administration and operations of Princess Cruises’ cruises around the globe are controlled from this headquarters. The interior environment celebrates the excitement of the enterprise with elements that range from elegant to playful, including nautical maps in graphic murals and frosted glass, canopy entries to each floor embedded with pin lights suggesting stars in the night sky, wave-like undulating ceilings, and flying fish light fixtures.
