Keebler-Kellogg’s
Chicago, Illinois
Epstein provided architectural, structural, civil, M/E/P engineering services as well as process engineering design assistance for the expansion of Keebler-Kellogg's existing ice cream cone manufacturing plant located in the West Pullman neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. This facility is the largest of its kind in the United States and is the key component in maintaining Keebler’s current market share as a prominent supplier of ice cream cones. The expansion provides continued growth in this market for Keebler-Kellogg’s as it looks to maximize and solidify its sales in their core markets.
Epstein designed and engineered a new 115,000 square foot infill addition for the manufacturing of ice cream cones and pie crusts. This addition links the existing 72,000 square foot plant with a recently purchased 76,000 square foot warehouse creating a 263,000 square foot complex on a 13.38-acre site.
